  We designed this blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, and Friuli native varietal Terrano to yield a fruit-forward and spicy red. Oak aging provides a softness on the palate while maintaining a great structure. A perfect introduction to the powerful potential of Friuli red wines–a region most famous for its whites.

  Grape variety: Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Terrano
  Fermentation and refinery: Four months in stainless steel to complete malo-lactic fermentation and tartaric precipitation. 12 months in small barriques of various sizes of French, Californian, and Austrian oaks, followed by an additional 12 months in large barrels of Slavonian, French, and Austrian oaks. 4-6 months aging in bottles before marketing.
  Tasting notes: Intense ruby red color with brown, almost dark nuances. Overall strong intensity of aromas including vanilla, raspberry, green herbaceous notes, mature fruits and spices. On the palate it is warm, velvety, and soft with spicy notes. Great structure and long persistence.
  Serving Suggestions: Pairs well with nice pasta with sauce and any kind of ragù. Meat is always a great combo, including game and white meat.

Terrano (2020)

• Terrano belongs to the family of Refosco d'Istria, a red native varietal from Friuli. Terrano is a typical grape of the Carso region, which has always produced this varietal with “wild” notes and a unique personality! This wine can be aged for 7-10 years when the bottle is kept properly.

  Fermentation and refinery: After 9 months in stainless steel containers (without malolactic fermentation), the wine remains other 3 months in bottles before its sale starts.
  Alcohol content: 12.0% vol.
  Tasting notes: Intense ruby red color when young, with violet undertones; by maturing, the color tones down. Wild scents of black-berry, bilberry, wild-cherry and plums. Rather acidic (from the presence of malic acid), exuberant and lively.
  Temperature for Serving: 16-18 °C
  Serving Suggestions: The limited tannins and the moderate alcohol content, even if with a steady acidity, make this Terrano appropriate for delicatessen and salted meat. When young, this wine is a perfect accompaniment to fish.

• The market is finally ready for a 100% Cabernet Franc! The beauty of this grape is it takes on the characteristics of the territory it is grown in. While we may be accustomed to Cabernet Franc from California or France, the production coming out of North Eastern Italy creates a whole other experience.
  
  This certified organic Cabernet Franc from Castelvecchio is highly elegant and deliciously drinkable. The initial famous ruby color melts with time into silken aristocratic reflections. The bouquet maintains the herbaceous fragrance of the wooden barrel even in the bottle. The taste is generous, velvety, and spicy.

  Grape variety: 100% Cabernet Franc
  Harvesting: First half of October
  Fermentation and refinery: Fermentation with maceration in stainless steel for approximately 15 days. After the first 4 months in stainless steel to complete the malolactic fermentation, the wine is left for a year in small French and Californian oak barrels (barriques). Followed by a year in barrique in larger Slavonian and French oak barrels (tonneau). The wine ages in the bottle for a further six months before being released on the market.
  Alcohol: 13.0%
  Temperature for serving: 18-20°C
  Tasting notes: Ruby red with aristocratic almost silky reflexes. The bouquet maintains a certain herbaceous fragrance accentuated by the wooden permanence that gives a spicy note. There is also a pleasant mineral note indicative of the Karst terroir. On the palate, it is full, velvety, and spicy with long persistence.
  Serving Suggestions: It pairs excellently with roasted white meat, grilled meats, and game.

• Ronco Nolè by Di Lenardo is a red wine blend of three grapes: Merlot, Cabernet, and Refosco–an ancient Italian varietal native to Friuli. The inclusion of Refosco really gives this blend a distinct and wonderful flavor and body. It is easy to drink and can be sipped as a pre-dinner “aperitivo”.

  Fermentation and refinery: De-stemming and pressing of the grapes followed by a period of settling. Racking in stainless steel tanks for malo-lactic fermentation at a controlled temperature. The presence of Lactic acid promotes a subtle rounder wine that is pleasantly mellow and less abrasive to the palate. The wine is drawn off the lees and then aged for 12 months in small American oak barrels.
  Alcohol: 13.0%
  Temperature for serving: 23°C
  Tasting notes: Intense ruby red, the palate reveals a wealth of soft, fine-grained tannins; great breadth of flavor, mouth-filling weight and superb intensity.

• The name, "Tazzelenghe," itself it testament to the personality of this wine that is best enjoyed by the experienced and educated consumer. In fact, Tazzelenghe means "tongue cutter", a fully deserved designation for its unique, acidic quality. Don't let it scare you away though! Tazzelenghe is a great accompaniment to food.
  
  Tazzelenghe is a native grape from Friuli, though the precise area of origin is unknown. It was grown in the multitude of original vineyards scattered throughout the Friuli region's hills, today mostly gone. Along with Refosco and Schiopettino, Tazzelenghe was rediscovered and is now grown across the Colli Orientali hills in Friuli.
  
• Typology: Red wine
  Grape variety: 100% Tazzelenghe
  Harvesting: Manual harvesting
  Fermentation and refinery: Soft pressing of the grapes, fermentation at controlled temperature with maceration on skins for 15-20 days. The wine refines in barrique for 24 months, then assembled. After 6 months from assembly, it is bottled. It refines in the bottle for a final 6 months before marketing.
  Temperature for Serving: 18-20 °C
  Tasting notes: Intense red color with violet reflexes that soften to red with garnet with age. Strong in the mouth, this tough and sturdy wine achieves a softness due to its barrel-aging. The bouquet is ample and pleasant with mild hints of wood.
  Pairing Suggestions: Wine indicated for roasts and braised. Goes well with sauces of white and red meats and game.

• This out of the ordinary wine has an out of the ordinary name. On a cold winter day, the name 'Fuc e Flamis' was born, inspired by the wood fire heating the room.
  
  Schioppettino (also known as Ribolla Nera in Friuli) is characterized by notes of black fruits and black pepper. Fuc e Flamis by Jacùss is dry and a bit acidic with medium-plus body, this delicious wine will hold up to any roasted meat.
  
• Typology: Red wine
  Production area: Colli Orientali del Friuli
  Grape variety: 100% Schioppettino
  Harvesting: By hand
  Fermentation and refinery: Crushing and de-stemming of the grapes, maceration on the skins for 20 days, control of the fermentation temperature at 26°-28°C, with various pumping over, until racking. The wine is left to mature in tanks and after 18 months it is bottled. Aging in the bottle for 3 months and then proceeds to be marketed.
  Alcohol: 13.5%
  Temperature for serving: 18°-20°C
  Tasting notes: Garnet red color with violet reflections, particularly intense with hints of cherry and wild blackberry in alcohol, with a spicy finish. Of good body and structure, the taste maintains the aroma of undergrowth and, if aged, acquires spicy and complex nuances like musk.
  Serving Suggestions: Recommended with first courses with game sauces and second courses of meat, game and aged cheeses.

  Harvesting: By hand in September
  Fermentation and refinery: De-stemming and crushing of the grapes, maceration with the must in cement tanks for several days with frequent pump-overs. After racking and pressing the skins, the must is placed in a tank where it awaits the end of the alcoholic fermentation and malo-lactic fermentation. The wine is filtered and bottled the following July, then a long period of bottle aging follows.
  Alcohol: 13.5%
  Tasting notes: Ruby red in color. Aromatic hints of red fruit, full and fragrant. Flavorful, mineral-rich and dry with heavy tannins.
  Serving Suggestions: This wine goes well with a wide variety of meals: from pasta to pork meat and grilled beef to chicken, rabbit, and roast duck.
